Through use of statistical techniques, assures that production processes are repeatable and capable of meeting specifications. Provides methods to monitor processes to assure they remain in control; Through training and audit, assures that the tools provided are being used and used correctly. Coordinates and reviews the process capability of customer samples produced in the facility.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Using appropriate statistical techniques, evaluates the capability of facility processes to meet specifications.
  • Develops and documents statistical techniques and programs to monitor production processes to assure that we provide a quality product on a consistent basis; works with all departments in reference to utilization of and training in these techniques and programs.
  • Identifies innovation and process improvement opportunities and then leads and guides the site continuous improvement teams to successful and timely completion of projects.
  • Proactively works toward continuous improvement in all plant processes; assists those improvements by quantifying associated cost savings.
  • Leads qualification of new and repaired equipment.
  • Guides the activities of technicians/operators performing process improvement functions.
  • Reviews control charts/data generated from facility processes to assure they are in a state of statistical control. Reports status as appropriate.
  • Assists with facility/supplier audits and meetings, as required.
  • Assists other facility personnel in the design and analysis of statistical studies pertaining to their functional groups, as required.
  • Performs other duties as required and/or assigned.

Safety Equipment:

  • Steel toe shoes, ear plugs, safety glasses or applicable PPE based on task.

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s in Engineering or Statistical concentration or recognized equivalent.
  • Minimum 3 years experience in related field.

  • Lean Six Sigma training
  • Excellent organization and communication skills
  • Ability to coach and mentor
  • Ability to successfully lead teams
  • Strong project management skills
  • Proactive shop floor support

Travel Requirements:

  • 0 to 10%
