Job Summary:

In this role, you will be responsible for trim press line clears, including but not limited to die changes and related paperwork. Provide technical expertise in mold cleaning thru installation, removal, transportation, assembly, disassembly, cleaning of molds and associated machinery and equipment.  Machine Shop work maintaining trim dies, hand punches, scissors, and other duties as assigned.

 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Complete trim press line clears, die changes, and associated paperwork
  • Perform trim die maintenance; cleaning, peening, chamfering, sharpening, etc.
  • Transport and stage die for maintenance/installation
  • Transport/install molds
  • Perform clean up runs, spraying and preparing molds for production
  • Clean molds via Salt Bath, Bake Oven or CO2 Mini Blaster
  • Maintain Fremont/salt cleaning tank with appropriate concentration, fluid level, temperature, and solution cleanliness
  • Operate Vacu-blast
  • Prepare/maintain production and mold maintenance file forms, reports and records
  • Maintain inventory of supplies
  • Operate mold lift truck, forklift(s), and electric hand truck
  • Sharpen and maintain scissors and punches for production
  • Keep supervisor advised of any/all off standard conditions, work, property damage, accidents and unusual conditions encountered
  • Other duties as assigned

 

Basic Qualifications: 

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Ability to work in standard Microsoft office applications (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc.)
  • Must possess a moderate to high level of mechanical ability 

 

Preferred Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Previous experience in a Machine Shop
  • Previous experience in a cGMP regulated environment
  • Willing and able to work as a team to make general decisions within authorized responsibility
  • Willing and able to work overtime within the department as necessary or advised
  • Able to be aware of all relevant SOPs as per Company policy as they are related to the position covered by this Job Description
  • Support and contribute in Lean Sigma programs and activities towards delivery of the set target
  • Able to comply with the company’s safety policy at all times
  • Able to comply with the company’s quality policy at all times.

 

Travel Requirements:

  • Must be able to travel up to 5% of the time
