Job Summary:

In this role, you will be responsible for overseeing activities of sample administration, stability management, align with LIMS data governance, glassware operations and LIMS processes for sample project support.  In addition, responsibilities include supervising the team to assure compliance with processes and procedures to reduce risks and improve compliance and productivity.


Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Supervise day to day activities:
  • Sample log in
  • Coordinate with project management and project analyst teams to ensure samples are logged in appropriately and timely
  • Coordinate with plant operations/supply chain to ensure samples are logged in appropriately and timely
  • Ensure that compliance to sample administration procedures
  • Align with LIMS data governance
  • Deviation Management
  • Due date compliance
  • Performance Reviews
  • Hiring of new employees and ensuring that their qualifications and skills fit with the needs of the individual roles
  • Team metrics
  • Implement and achieve team metrics and provide directions to sample administration and manage their performance and support lab services
  • Assure team is adequately trained for their roles
  • Give guidance to resource scheduling for staff and equipment
  • Align with LIMS data governance to support project management, lab services and lab operations
  • Managing and maintaining LIMS related to sample administration and stability.
  • Implement LIMS processes and LIMS procedures related to sample administration and stability
  • Maintain support for SAP related to sample administration
  • Management and oversee of sample administration (chain of custody, procedures, sample submission processes, storage, etc)
  • Manage and maintain inventory and processes for stability
  • Responsible for stability modules and stability management in LIMS
  • Provide direction to his/her group and assist in providing systems and direction to control costs, reduce risk and improve productivity. 
  • Collaborate with metrology and facilities on installation of new sample management and stability equipment
  • Implementation of new tools for tracking laboratory project demand and resource utilization
  • Review and approve documents such as laboratory investigations, work instructions, SOP’s, etc as assigned
  • Implement continuous improvement/lean activities and events for the group
  • Apply required cGMP regulations and internal QA procedures
  • Perform other tasks as assigned


Basic Qualifications:

  • BS in Chemistry or related degree. 
  • Minimum 5-10 years experience

Travel Requirements:

  • Must be able to travel up to 5% of the time
