Job Summary:

The Solutions Architect will be responsible for globally providing Laboratory D&T support, implementing systems, maintaining compliance. Identify process gaps and implement solutions to increase efficiency and compliance.


Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Globally administer and support server-based Laboratory applications (e.g. LIMS, SDMS, ELN/LES and Empower), and lab equipment software to ensure systems are operational.
  • Assist with the development and implementation of systems to support Infrastructure globally to support the roll out of major key initiatives for lab automation, compliance and digitization.
  • Maintain systems in compliance with cGXP and all data integrity standards to control costs, reduce risks and improve productivity.
  • Evaluate data generated and/or stored within the system to provide ad hoc and long-term reporting solutions that address business needs and identify process gaps that might otherwise go unnoticed.
  • Implement and maintain an efficient solution for backup, archiving and restore of electronic raw data on all Laboratory Digital and Transformation owned systems.
  • Diagnose stand-alone hardware and software problems and provide technical support to users.
  • Work with D&T Support and/or the software vendor to troubleshoot issues that arise with access or performance to minimize production downtime.
  • Proactively identify and implement continuous improvement/lean activities.
  • Generate and maintain an inventory list of laboratory computerized systems globally.
  • Write, execute IQs, OQs, PQs, and validation protocols, as necessary.
  • Initiate and review documents such as laboratory investigations, work instructions, SOPs as assigned.
  • Collaborate and coordinate activities with group members and Laboratory stakeholders
  • Research, recommend, develop and/or implements new software/upgrades and systems to increase compliance and efficiency in all laboratories.
  • Ensure that new systems and software are properly integrated with existing processes and capabilities.
  • Participate in rotating "on-call" support. This includes coordinating support with the software vendors as needed.
  • Keep current with new technologies and cGXP regulations, including Data integrity. 
  • Provide budgeting information for new systems, service agreements, software upgrades, etc.
  • Has an in-depth understanding of and can communicate/educate the team on the Digital & Transformation related requirements to achieve and maintain cGXP and Data Integrity compliance.
  • Conforms with and abides by all regulations, policies, work procedures, instruction, and all safety rules.
  • Assist with audits from both clients and regulatory agencies.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.


Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in Laboratory systems or a Scientific field.
  • 5-8 Years of experience of managing Laboratory systems.


Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:


  • Experience with implementing and managing laboratory computer systems
  • Knowledge of cGMP regulations, and validating cGMP computer systems
  • Knowledge of the software development lifecycle
  • Experience with common programming languages and scripting is a plus
  • Experience with LIMS (LabVantage or other) highly desired
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Able to be aware of all relevant SOPs as per Company policy as they are related to the position covered by this Job Description
  • Support and contribute in Lean Sigma programs and activities towards delivery of the set target
  • Able to comply with the company’s safety policy at all times
