In this role, you will lead the technical analyses & scheduling element for Global Engineering while supporting the Capacity Expansion surge growth in project engineering & management. Provide consistent technical engineering support and guidance to the global facilities, equipment & tooling teams to achieve corporate goals for Quality, Overall Efficiency, Cost Reduction, Safety and Well-being. You will be working with engineering project leads to develop work breakdown structures and robust performance baselines, establishing progress and cost monitoring methods, producing project control reports and providing performance analysis and recommendations for the team.


Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Review and analyze with all engineering functions:
  • The technical interdependencies to ensure all aspects of the project are being considered, such as coordination of the facility design to the equipment requirements
  • Analyze costing and scheduling
  • Projects are executed in line with West Engineering Project Execution Strategy and related Engineering guidelines and procedures

Analytics & reporting:

  • Support the engineering team in the technical analysis of the tenders (facility, equipment)
  • Analyze and report on a weekly basis where the engineering team is in terms of budget, resources, and schedule
  • Provide necessary data to the engineering group and the program managers of the OPMO office
  • Evaluate and develop requirements and maintain global engineering databases


  • Perform scheduling functions such as preparing logic-driven, resource-loaded schedules, resource planning and reports as well as critical path analysis to facilitate resource histogram and cumulative s-curve data for metrics data.
  • Report on schedule adherence metrics, float and critical paths and milestones to project team members and management for use in making project-specific decisions
  • Monitor supplier schedules in line with delivery schedules and impact on site installation for all engineering areas.
  • Develop and design custom schedule reports for engineering teams
  • Proactively troubleshoot schedule issues and gaps and work through the issues with stakeholder and appropriate PM’s
  • Monitoring original versus actual schedule, budgets for scope growth/changes
  • Identify improvement opportunities pertaining to schedule issues
  • Coordinate Change control activities with Project Leader
  • Other duties as assigned


Basic Qualifications: 

  • Bachelor’s degree/Masters or equivalent in Electrical, Mechanical, Chemical, or Building Service Engineering.
  • A minimum of 5 years’ experience managing complex engineering projects
  • Good understanding of:
  • Facility design and construction
  • Electrical & Mechanical systems (Operation and Maintenance)
  • General manufacturing equipment
  • Strong engineering and trouble shooting skills (facility & equipment engineering, electrical systems)
  • Good Interpersonal and Communication skills,
  • Strong knowledge of tools like Excel, Power BI and MS Project.

Preferred Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • 8-10 years’ experience in managing complex engineering projects
  • Able to be aware of all relevant SOPs as per Company policy as they are related to the position covered by this Job Description
  • Support and contribute in Lean Sigma programs and activities towards delivery of the set target
  • Able to comply with the company’s safety policy at all times
  • Able to comply with the company’s quality policy at all times.

Travel Requirements:

  • Must be able to travel up to 10% of the time
