Job Summary:


Reporting directly to the Director of Accounting and Compliance, the Senior Accountant is responsible for managing all activities related to the company’s compliance with the Sarbanes Oxley Act including the oversight of the design and implementation of internal controls over financial reporting. In addition, the position will provide support needed to enhance the company’s global policies, streamline existing accounting practices and procedures, and well as support other business development activities. 


Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Manage the design and coordination of the Sarbanes Oxley 404 Program
  • Interact and coordinate with internal and external auditors to support the Company’s accounting positions and facilitate an efficient audit and review process Identify process deficiencies and drive needed improvements
  • Responsible to identify, develop, and update financial policies to ensure compliance
  • Assist in preparation of accounting activities and standard operating procedures
  • Assists in preparation of presentation and analytical materials in support of Finance, Audit and BOD requests
  • Assists in consolidation, technical accounting, and external reporting projects as needed
  • Other duties as assigned


Basic Qualifications: 

  • Education or Equivalent Experience: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance required
  • Experience: 5-8 years of experience
  • Minimum of 3 years in Public Accounting


Preferred Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Strong knowledge of and ability to learn and apply technical accounting concepts in accordance with US GAAP and internal controls over financial reporting;
  • Experience with manufacturing clients, financial reporting and Sarbanes Oxley required
  • Experience with SAP required and Oracle Financial Management preferred
  • Strong analytical skills and ability to summarize conclusions and make recommendations to management
  • Unquestioned integrity, moral character, ethics and values - one whom an organization can trust without reservation
  • Ability to work effectively with teams and manage multiple complex tasks in order to meet tight deadlines
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, and a strong team player
  • Demonstrated success in working across multiple levels of the organization including senior leadership

  • Able to comply with the company’s safety policy at all times


Travel Requirements:

  • Some travel required


Physical & Mental Requirements:

  • Work in an office environment. At times must sit for extended periods of time
  • Strong communication and technical writing skills, interpretation of data, interpersonal skills, ability to work on and lead teams
  • Use written and oral communication skills
  • Read and interpret data, information and documents
