Job Summary

The Senior Supply Chain Manager – Global Inventory COE is a key contributor in the development of a center of excellence for the global supply chain. This role is responsible for establishing standard process for tracking and projecting inventory at sites located globally, and for driving adherence to standard processes. As the organization matures, this role will collaborate across the supply chain to optimize inventory utilizing data from demand planning, supply planning, standard lead times, transportation, costs and risk factors. This position requires both a broad global and detailed view of supply chain end to end activities. This person can work autonomously, with little direction needed for daily tasks, have an affinity for supply chain analytics and be able to elevate outcomes for executive review.  This person is also highly effective working across different teams to drive inventory KPI’s and business performance. This role is highly analytical as well as collaborative working across functions with demand planning, supply planning, operations, manufacturing/materials management, and finance.
 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
 

  • Utilizes data, proactively identifying and addressing supply chain risks and opportunities regarding inventory, based on forecast accuracy, supply reliability, and risk tolerance.
  • Is responsible for ensuring adherence to inventory policy and setting inventory policy in collaboration with Global Supply Planning and Commercial.
  • Partners across key functions:  demand planning, supply planning, finance, operations, materials planning.
  • Collaborates with plant materials planning team members as needed to identify inventory opportunities and requirements within planning parameters.
  • Assist in development and measurement of key metrics. Support improvement and efficiency of KPI reporting processes for assigned businesses.
  • Completes adhoc analysis on demand, supply, and other supply chain data
  • Troubleshoots and resolves complex problems.
  • Provide reporting and reviews of exceptions to key stakeholders in the supply chain
  • Identify, report, and perform root cause analysis on the supply chain as impacted by forecasting, demand-planning, supply planning, and customer focused activities and outputs.
  • Drives standardization and adherence for inventory tracking, reporting, and projecting.
  • Work with various cross-functional teams on projects such as new product launches and program extensions.
  • Partners with Digital & Technology to drive enhancements to the Power BI reporting
  • Understands data elements critical to supply chain optimization and analytics, works with master data team to ensure accuracy of the data inputs/mappings
  • Participate in broad supply chain and business operations initiatives on behalf of the Integrated Supply Planning group.
  • Ensures site to site collaboration relative to inter-company transfers and shipping schedules.

Basic Qualifications 

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, supply chain management or business.
  • 10+ years demonstrated supply chain planning with analytics experience
  • 5+ years working in a cross-functional, collaborative environment and presenting to executives.
  • Must be able to read and write fluently in English.

Preferred Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

  • Skilled in achieving results and managing others indirectly to achieve corporate and site objectives

  • Strong analytical, data-processing, and problem-solving skills.  Ability to think through and execute data gathering, and quantitative and qualitative data analysis, including business process metrics and measures linking to business KPIs.
  • Ability to work in a matrix environment and build strong relationships by being transparent, reliable, and delivering on commitments.
  • Ability to provide creative ideas or alternatives to optimize the supply chain network and create value.
  • Strong understanding of end-to-end global supply principals (financial and material flows, linkages, lead times, systems, strategic planning, supply network planning, budgeting, business acumen, inventory) and experience using SAP.
  • Keen ability to understand data and communicate with business stakeholders and executives at the right level
  • Excellent communication skills, strong overall presentation and influencing skills, assertiveness, and ability to interact and gain support of senior management
  • Natural curiosity to understand the “why” behind the data, results within the KPI’s, and business performance
  • Strong presentation skills with the ability to drive cross-functional collaboration in meetings.
  • Ability to translate business goals and metrics into business process outcomes and related business cases for specific projects.
  • Proficient in PowerPoint, Excel, and Power BI
  • Has a continuous improvement mindset, strong strategic and analytical thinking, leverages data for problem solving and rapid decision making.
  • Ability to create and foster a team-based environment to create and maintain cooperative relationships across the organization.
  • Able to be aware of all relevant SOPs as per Company policy as they are related to the position covered by this Job Description
  • Support and contribute in Lean Sigma programs and activities towards delivery of the set target

Travel Requirements:
