Job Summary:

This role will drive alignment and decision-making across all departments and functions from Customer Success, Demand Planning, Sales and stakeholders in Finance and Supply chain. This is an ideal role for someone who is passionate to drive customer impact, transform the customer experience, and pioneer new ways of operating. This role calls for a balance of leadership, influence skills, people management, and supportive individual contributions. You must be able to work well under pressure and deadlines and must be flexible, thriving in ambiguity and uncertainty.


Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Demonstrate best practices of Project Management, with the goal to not only deliver projects of high quality and value to the organization, but also adhere to agreed-upon schedule, resources, budget, and scope.
  • Lead critical Commercial/Customer success projects and be the voice of the CS leadership team.
  • Act as program champion and head of a cross-functional team; develop bottoms-up plans and proactively manages program risks, to successfully deliver all program deliverables.
  • Solve problems and manage crises effectively and independently. Act as information conduit between Customer Success core team and leadership.
  • Facilitate communication and collaboration between all teams, both internally and externally, to ensure efficient operation and a positive work environment.
  • Oversee strategic Commercial/Customer Success initiatives from development through successful execution under the guidance of the leadership team.
  • Assist and communicate with executives in decision-making, program management, and initiative implementation.
  • Serve as proxy to the CS leadership/Sr Director, effectively influencing and driving strategy alignment across field Sales, customer facing delivery leadership, Demand Planning, and other supporting functions.
  • Review, design, and execute on improvements to structure, determine knowledge and skills gaps and help address them.
  • Ensure that the West project management process & methods are implemented on all projects.
  • Maintain clear communication paths with stakeholders.
  • Performs other duties as assigned based on business needs.


Basic Qualifications: 

  • Bachelor’s in engineering, Materials, Chemistry, or equivalent technical degree. MBA/Master’s degree preferred.
  • Minimum 10+ years of professional experience.


Preferred Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Bachelor’s or Masters’ Degree in Business, Engineering, Technology, or related field or equivalent experience.
  • 10+ years of professional experience in management consulting, business/sales planning, sales excellence and/or product management experience.
  • 7+ years of people management experience, building, developing, and retaining top professional talent, modeling diversity and inclusion behaviors.
  • Demonstrated experience proposing, creating, and managing executive level proposals and presentations.
  • Professional experience in program and project management.
  • Engagement expertise, storytelling skills and passion for delighting customers, advocating on their behalf, creating great customer experiences, and understanding the linkage between these experiences and business success.
  • Leading change that drives adoption; experience with large-scale transformations and know that driving change is about bringing people and customers along on the journey, not telling them where to go.
  • Exhibits regular, reliable, punctual, and predictable attendance.
  • Conforms with and abides by all regulations, policies, work procedures, instruction, and all safety rules.
  • Support and contribute to Lean Sigma programs and activities towards delivery of the set target


Travel Requirements:

  • Must be able to travel to domestic & international customers as well as West manufacturing locations as project requirements & business needs require.


Physical & Mental Requirements:

  • Must be able to communicate effectively, speak in front of groups, express & exchange ideas and understand direction. 
  • Maintain the ability to work well with others in a variety of situations.
  • Able to multi-task, work under time constraints, problem solve, and prioritize.
  • Able to learn and apply new information or new skills.
