Manages the demand planning process for WPS Business Units. Collaborates with Sales Account Managers and Marketing to ensure that all forecast inputs are entered to produce a Demand Plan. Provides analysis and recommendations to the business unit leaders on Target setting and the underlying assumptions. Leads the monthly Demand Review as part of the SIOP process.



  • Monthly, produce a rolling 24 months Demand Plan incorporating and consolidating the two-year Sales Account Managers’ inputs by customer, item, and product family and also collaborate with the Product Management teams for “Marketing insights/forecast” to create a consensus 5 year forecast. Perform any statistical analyses for full horizon to incorporate best case model to adopt. Input commercial insights as needed.
  • Lead Monthly/Quarterly Demand Review step of SIOP reviewing the rolling 5-year demand plan with Senior Sales, Product Management, Finance & Supply Chain leaders. Review changes and exceptions to the demand plan. Identify corrective actions, open highlighted key points and follow up actions to reduce error, bias, and deal with variances. Establish Consensus Demand Forecast through Collaboration.
  • Analyze Forecast and provide inputs to the commercial business units on Targets to be set and the underlying assumptions built in the forecast….Utilize and help improve standard best practices to provide quarterly assessment.
  • Facilitate the quarterly gap closure process to achieve business goals and periodically monitoring progress with other stakeholders. Lead daily tracking on forecast consumption towards the targets set by the organization & highlighting key short-term assumptions and changes.
  • Document risks/opportunities to the demand plans and communicate to all stakeholders for significant changes.
  • Full ownership for Demand Planning Master Data and responsible for periodic cleansing.
  • Collaborate with the Network Supply Chain Managers to identify major demand changes that impede delivery of service or product, inventory, shelf life, cost, and cash flow targets. 
  • Quarterly, collaborate with Product Management teams to ensure growth assumptions and significant deviations between Sales Forecast and Marketing Insights are aligned.
  • Yearly, support the development of Sales Strategic Plan and Sales Budget planning process.
  • Collaborate with Product Management and Sales to identify new and discontinued products.
  • Be analytical and support in implementing and monitoring performance metrics and KPIS.
  • Provide and support Sales Organization with regular training and recommendations on usage of APO and BI.
  • Gain Knowledge of product portfolio, strategies and programs within Business Unit.



  • Education: Bachelor’s preferred in Supply Chain Management, Engineering, Finance, Sales, Marketing, or Business.
  • Experience: 6-10 years
  • Supply Chain Degree or MBA preferred.
  • In supply chain or related business field. APICS certification an asset.
  • International team experience.
  • Experience with leading forecasting software. i.e. SAP-APO.
