The Director FP&A of SIOP/SIOE will be the coordinator on the global SIOP/SIOE process representing the FP&A (Finance Planning & Analysis) organization for recommendation, escalation and decisions on the following process step including the detail view of scenario creation and analytics.

It is part of the core responsibility to drive global collaborative efforts to integrate, synchronize & align processes across the extended supply chain network for optimal segmentation efficiency, responsiveness, profitability, growth, and service to meet market and customer needs and overall company objectives. To that ending this Director is also responsible to coordinate with DP, SNP, SIOP/SIOE and PPDS to build the SC Excellence business analytics.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Support configuration, integration, alignment, governance, and routine review of the key components of our global supply chain strategy:
  • Accountable for support the architecture of the SIOP/SIOE process and for the successful global rollout of Genesis and implementation.
  • Key point of contact for VP of FP&A and for the Project Sponsor (CFO) of Genesis.
  • Help to develop the Coordinates the activities and provides direction and assistance on resolution of complex issues and potential problems related to SIOP/SIOE.
  • Aligns strategic roadmap with key stakeholders across West
  • Accountable to define key metrics of SIOP/SIOE and track benefits and improvements to the business
  • Help to aligns resources, prioritizes strategies, establishes targets, and implements cost-out initiatives for SIOP/SIOE and Global Supply Planning


  • Business Strategy – support the management and execution of Operational strategy across the global supply chain network to maximize profitability and efficiencies to the customer’s expectations.
    • Coordinate with DP, SNP, SIOP/SIOE and PPDS to build the SC Excellence business analytics.
    • Drive continuous improvement in New Product Development and Life Cycle Management relative to global supply planning.
    • Work closely with regional operations leaders and regional supply chain teams to achieve operational objectives in cost, quality, delivery, inventory turnover and asset management.
    • Establish and monitor global capacity governance (i.e., process, standards, and definitions).
    • Evaluate, monitor, and project global long-range capacity requirements and develop justification models for Cap-Ex spends.
    • Drive maximum benefit/usage out of West’s global mfg. network and govern the regional execution (product transfers) of the manufacturing segmentation strategy.
    • Supply Network Design – member of the global network strategy team to design network configurations that integrate West’s Market, Operations and Supply Chain segmentation strategies for optimizing the cost-to-serve in meeting customer product and service requirements.
    • Work jointly with Supply chain leads and the SC standard & improvement team on Optimizing Network Strategy - infrastructure planning as to how we efficiently & effectively get our products to our customers via Fulfillment strategies third-party logistics, warehouse, and distribution providers.
    • Segmentation Strategy – by way of the above, support supply chain strategies relative to market and product segments that enhance the customer experience and optimize the use of global resources in achieving Perfect Order Fulfillment and cash flow objectives.
      • Collaborate with Supply Chain, Marketing, Sales, Operations, R&D, Purchasing and Finance leadership to manage supply chain strategies and govern service level offerings and policies for each segment.
      • Monitor global supply chain reliability, efficiency, flexibility, and responsiveness reflected in global SC metrics performance and lead time management.
  • Be a Change agent in business transformation.
    • Help others understand why changes are warranted --- building commitment and inspiring action.
  • Contribute to the delivery of year-over-year supply chain cost and tax optimization targets.
  • Communicates key digital messages, goals, and objectives to team members in their local geographies or business units to drive alignment and a high-performance culture
  • Inspires, coaches, trains, develops, motivates, and evaluates team members to enable their capabilities and accomplish the department’s priorities. Ensures team members have access to training, coaching, and mentoring to thrive in their respective roles and enhance professional development.
  • Other duties as assigned


Basic Qualifications: 

  • Bachelor’s degree with concentration in Supply Chain, Economics or Business Administration.
  • Minimum 10+ years of experience with a strong knowledge of finance basics including budget, forecast and P&L Management
  • APICS Certification required - CPIM and/or CSCM and/or REFA industrial engineering and/or similar.


Preferred Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Education: MBA preferred.
  • Experience with ERP and SCM software and implementation – preferably SAP.
  • Experience in planning, assessing, and implementing change.
  • Strong knowledge of key supply chain processes and current best practices.
  • Ability to work independently on a global, cross-functional basis.
  • Excellent interpersonal, team leadership, influential, problem solving and project management skills.
  • Knowledge of the Life Sciences industry to include an understanding of the markets, demographic trends, customers, competition, and business challenges. 
  • Fluency in written and spoken English.
  • Excellent written, verbal, and presentation skills.
  • Thrives on challenge with an ability to influence stakeholders and foster an environment of collaboration.
  • Able to be aware of all relevant SOPs as per Company policy as they are related to the position covered by this Job Description
  • Support and contribute to Lean Sigma programs and activities towards delivery of the set target
  • Able to comply with the company’s safety and quality policy at all times


Travel Requirements:

  • Must be able to travel up to 10% of the time, including international
