Job Summary:

The Director of Commercial Forecasting will be responsible for the sales forecasting process across the proprietary business units including developing capabilities and opportunities to further enhance the forecast process. This individual will work in a multi-disciplined, cross-functional team environment and will interface with internal and external customers.  Collaborates with Supply Chain and Finance to meet customer service targets and market unit KPI’s.

 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Develop, execute, and lead the forecasting process across all three proprietary business units.
  • Define metrics
  • Create business unit scorecards and appropriate reports.
  • As needed, develop, and streamline reporting of key information.
  • Work with Commercial finance team to ensure assumptions and analysis underpinning sales forecast as well as risk & opportunities are clearly communicated and understood.
  • Work collaboratively and communicate with the Commercial, Operations, Supply chain, Customer Success, Sales Operations, and IT teams
  • Quarterly, cohorts with Marketing to ensure that the 5-year Marketing Forecast is delivered.
  • Define and lead the yearly input of sales forecast into the 5-year Strat Plan over the 5 Year planning horizon and support the 1-year horizon Budget process.
  • Develop forecast volumes for New Product Forecasts as part of New Product Development & Launches with collaboration of R&D, Marketing, and Sales.
  • Lead, mentor, coordinate, and direct the forecasting team
  • Build team with skill sets appropriate for forecast support and system maintenance
  • Integrate future state systems and tools
  • Incorporate Market Unit insights and trends such as key account forecasts and customer inventory levels into the process
  • Business process owner of the Advanced Planning Optimization and Demand Planning advanced planning systems
  • Other duties as assigned

 

Basic Qualifications: 

  • Bachelor’s degree required; preferred in Supply Chain Management, Engineering, Finance, Sales, Marketing, or Business.
  • Minimum 11 years of experience in business related field or supply chain.
  • Preferred Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
  • Experience with planning optimization software (i.e., SAP).
  • Must have strong leadership, planning, and technical skills.
  • Must have excellent written and verbal communication and the ability to build effective internal and external relationships.
  • Track record of execution, accountability, and strong analytical skills
  • Able to be aware of all relevant SOPs as per Company policy as they are related to the position covered by this Job Description
  • Support and contribute to Lean Sigma programs and activities towards delivery of the set target
  • Able to comply with the company’s safety and quality policy at all times

 

Travel Requirements:

Must be able to travel up to 20% of the time
