Job Summary:
The Principal, Digital & Transformation (D&T), Data Migration is the Subjet Matter Expert in this space and is responsible to lead, verify, and support SAP S4 data migration activities. In addition, this role provides leadership in maintaining master data across various domains such as customer, material, and production master data like BOM/Recipes/Work Centers etc. and across various systems like SAP and non-SAP. This position requires experience and focus on data quality and data cleansing with a strong understanding of production-related master data.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Lead and support through collaboration with various stakeholders on data migration activities on S4 HANA for site rollouts.
- Work with end users, educate them in enriching and transforming existing data sets to meet new system requirements.
- Train, advise and oversee the master data governance team regarding new rules specific to site rollouts and transition day-to-day new request setup to the data governance team.
- Lead, verify and drive master data cutover activities.
- Act as the SME and train the site database stewards on how to setup master data specific to the site on BOMs / Routes / work centers, pack spec and other production and EWM related master data.
- As the SME with knowledge of best practices, advise on day-to-day requests of master data changes and ensure data is setup accurately and in a timely manner.
- As the data expert on production and EWM master data, advise, lead and support quality and PM master data issues.
- In collaboration with team members, develop standards, guidelines, and processes to consistently address master data issues such as data standards and data synchronization.
- Provide an expert voice to the development of master data processes, guidelines and standards as required and disseminates to business, technology, and application teams.
- Lead data extraction and transformation workshops to identify appropriate field mappings, value mappings and business rules.
- Determine and implement the build of data profiling, cleansing and transformation.
- Provision of medium and complex cleansing rules where required / perform unit testing in tool.
- Manage various global data migration projects initiated by stakeholders across West.
- Train end users on maintaining data in SAP.
Education and Experience:
- Education or equivalent experience: Bachelor's in Computer Science or Equivalent
- Related Work Experience: 8-10 years of experience
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- Extensive experience with maintaining SAP Master Data objects like Customer, Vendor and other dependent master data.
- Good understanding of SAP business processes in the areas of Production and EWM.
- Expert is using various tools to support and perform mass data changes on an as need basis.
- Lead the requirements gatherings on data migration, works closely with technical team to develop the migration loads and finally verify and reconcile the data load against the extract.
- Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Power Point and Outlook).
- Ability to analyze complex, abstract issues in a logical, structured way.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to work with all levels in the organization.
- Broad experience desired, but not essential, in areas, such as data governance, data architecture, data integration, data classification, data strategy, data quality management, data security and privacy, MDM, data standards, regulatory compliance, and enterprise architecture frameworks.
- Proven abilities to take initiative and be innovative.
- Analytical mind with a problem-solving aptitude. Extremely conscientious and detail oriented.
- Ability to work autonomously in a fast-paced & complex environment with a self-motivated work ethic; utilize sound judgment with an ability to manage multiple priorities with a sense of urgency.
- Ability to work in a virtual environment in a global organization.
