Job Summary: 

As part of this role, you will assume overall responsibility for Lean management at the Eschweiler site,  one of the biggest sites within our global West group. Your main objective is to support the senior leadership team in achieving the plant's objectives.



Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Collaboration in the conception and following implementation of new concepts and ideas of lean management as well as the goal-oriented improvement of the lean culture
  • Harmonization of the actions from the West Business System and the local West Lean strategy
  • Close monitoring of the Eschweiler West Lean strategy (roadmap)
  • Independent implementation of process analyzes, collection and evaluation of relevant key figures, development of tools and templates for process improvement and simplification of work processes
  • Lead and coordination of "Kaizen System" for process optimization
  • Continuous improvement of operational work processes, close cooperation with those responsible in the production and service areas, as well as guidance on all questions of process optimization and support in the implementation of change measures
  • Prioritization of lean initiatives, conception and implementation of workshops and trainings on all hierarchical levels
  • Running internal audits and support external audits related to lean topics


Education and Experience:

  • Successfully completed studies in engineering, natural sciences or economics
  • Several years of professional experience (at least 5 years) in the production environment as well as in the field of Lean, Kaizen KVP and /or Six Sigma
  • First management responsibilities
  • Six Sigma qualification (at least Green Belt)
  • High awareness of cost and quality
  • Fluent written and spoken German and English
  • Confident handling of MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc.)
