Job summary:

The Jr. Laboratory Expert - Microbiological and Particle Testing (m/f/d) will be part of the global special projects team supporting the development, optimization, and validation of methods for release testing and in-process control. They will work in tight cooperation with international team members to implement the developed methods, train users and support the laboratory teams in various sites across the globe. As part of the microbiological and particle Subject Matter Expert team, they will support and contribute to global laboratory joined projects.

 


Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Following all relevant instructions according to company policy and cGMP regulated environment
  • Responsible for creating lab study protocols of method development projects, including problem solving suggestions in case of unexpected outcomes
  • Executing validation and qualification protocols of computerized inspection systems
  • Conducting data analysis as per pre-defined methodologies and documenting experimental and test results in compliance with cGMP
  • Executing and documenting inter-laboratory studies as per pre-approved protocols
  • Performing literature search such as compendial and regulatory guidelines, scientific publications, state-of-the-art equipment, or any project relevant information
  • Assisting the Subject Matter Experts in investigating deviations or out of specification incidents for the global laboratory network

 

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Natural Sciences or equivalent
  • 1-3 years of experience in a cGMP-regulated environment with initial hands-on working experience in a laboratory, desirably including experience in operating state of the art laboratory equipment
  • Safe handling of measurement technologies or techniques
  • Experience in Microsoft Office software package; SAP and Minitab experience as well as knowledge in statistical analysis would be a plus
  • Good experimental and lab oriented organizational skills, reliability, diligence and flexibility combined with a thinking outside the box attitude
  • Ability to collaborate and effectively work in a team with good verbal and written communication skills to partake in constructive technical discussions
  • Fluency in English, both verbal and in writing as well as a basic knowledge in German and the willingness to further learn the language
