In this role, you will support multiple customer accounts in all market units as needed with moderate guidance and direction. Moreover, you will provide technical assistance relating to West’s products, processes and services portfolio and you will also assist in identifying and closing sales opportunities.



Your Responsibilities:

  • To support West customers in technical matters, you will build expertise in key market knowledge areas over and above the internal trainings
  • Being the technical interface between the customer and West’s functions, you will support the development of commercial strategies for products, services as well as customers and represent the Voice of Customer to the West organization
  • By preparing technical presentations, conducting technical seminars with customers, educating customers on product applications and sharing industry insights with customers, you will promote, present and actively participate in growing West business
  • You will act as a liaison between customers, Sales and West Analytical Laboratories
  • As an expert, you will provide specific technical training to West employees
  • You will closely work with QA and Operations on change control, and assist customers with technical aspects of change and FAQ
  • In close collaboration with all other members of Global Technical Customer Support Team, you will assure open communication and a high level of effectiveness


Your Profile:

  • To realize this role’s requirements, you possess a bachelor’s degree in a technical field, such as Chemistry, Biology, Pharmacy or Engineering
  • You have 1-2 years of experience in technical support, analytical laboratory, quality, research & development or engineering role within the pharmaceutical, medical device or a related industry
  • With a moderate level of guidance, you are working well in a fast-paced environment and being able to comprehend technical information
  • You identify internal and external client needs and make appropriate recommendations
  • By connecting with others, managing relationships and supporting each other within a team, you show strong interpersonal skills
  • You consider yourself being open-minded and proaktive
  • In order to communicate internally and externally across all hierarchy levels, you possess fluent English skills. German skills would be desirable
