The HR Leader for the Cidra site is a key member of the site management team and of the regional HR team for West. Through close partnership with the team, this role will direct and execute Human Resource strategies and initiatives including training and development, staffing, employee relations, talent management culture and employee engagement.  Responsible for implementing and managing policies and programs encompassing recruitment, benefits, compensation, training, worker’s compensation, safety and organizational development. The successful leader will be an effective liaison between employees and the company to provide a world class workplace.

 

PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Manages and oversees performance and talent management process and programs, individual development plans and succession planning activities.
  • Consults with and advises managers on employee relations issues such as employee disputes, terminations, EEO, harassment, disciplinary action, policy interpretation, advising management on personal and policy matters.
  • Identifies and develops recruiting strategies to attract competent individuals, reduce hiring cost and turnover. Facilitates and manages internal job postings, opportunities for promotion, new employee orientation.
  • Develops and administers policies and procedures in a consistent manner, which comply with applicable laws and regulations.  Advises and mediates regarding policy interpretation to managers and employees. Recommends revisions and/or new policies as necessary.
  • Facilitates new employee onboarding program and recommends revisions to the program as necessary.
  • Prepares documentation and participates in litigation matters such as EEOC, workers’ compensation, unemployment. Attends all depositions and hearings.
  • Manages and recommends job classification, ratings, pay grades.
  • Acts as a champion of workplace continuous improvement, including employee engagement and culture initiatives.
  • Develops and administers special programs and projects to include employee awards, pay equity, health and morale. These may include recognition and award programs, events, safety and health fairs, fundraising campaigns, and other activities.
  • Provides assistance in managing and influencing change management, HR leadership, record management, turnover management.
  • Assists with implementation, enrollment, and responding to inquiries regarding employee benefits programs.
  • Identifies legal requirements and government reporting regulations. Coordinates and supports audits and reviews for compliance to training, record keeping, documentation and other HR related regulations.
  • Assesses and develops training programs and acts as a facilitator in delivering effective employee development programs.
  • Manage the administration of payroll, training, HR systems and benefits programs.
  • Performs other duties as assigned based on business needs.
  • Conforms with and abides by all laws, regulations, policies, work procedures, instruction, and all safety rules.
  • Exhibits regular, reliable, punctual and predictable attendance.

 

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business, or related field from an accredited university.
  • Experience: 8 years of human resources generalist/management experience
  • Proven experience facilitating training and development programs
  • Exceptional knowledge of federal and local labor laws
  • English/Spanish Fluency
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with all levels of employees
  • Excellent negotiation and conflict resolution skills
  • 3+ years of supervisor/management experience

 

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Manufacturing Operations HR Management Experience
  • Master’s degree or MBA
  • PHR/SPHR, SHRM-CP certification
  • Strong Computer Skills with exposure to business systems (i.e. Teams, Ultimate, Kronos, PeopleSoft, SuccessFactors, SAP HCM) and MS Office applications
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
  • Proven ability to establish and maintain good working relationships with all levels in the organization.
  • Ability to prioritize and respond timely to changing requirements, and to coordinate multiple tasks simultaneously.

 

Physical and Travel Requirements:

  • Must be able to perform in an office environment for long hours
  • Must be able to traverse the manufacturing site, which may include wearing of PPE (Gowns, face masks, hair nets, booties) in order to meet with and observe team members.
  • Must be able to utilize a computer for long periods of time
  • Must be able to travel minimally (<5%) to attend meetings and conferences.
